How to: Side Hustle

Image
Hey hey hey my gems! I have been very vocal on my Instagram this week about being busy with not only my full-time job but my side hustle, online class and more. I got tones of questions about my side hustle and some small how to questions. 1. I want to start a side hustle but don't know what direction to go in? Think of things you love, things you enjoy, that calm you, etc. List them, write them and review them. When you find the activity, item or passion that you want to pursue it is a huge weight lifted because you finally have a direction in which to move. 2. I've decided what I want my side income to be based on but how do I start? This is tricky because it's not as simple as it seems and it sure isn't a one size fits all situation. The truth is that depending on what your project is, who you are and how you work, this can be drastically different. I personally made some goals. I actually based my goals and my starting off on college application process in th...

2019: Thank you, Next.

Image
Hey gems, With the end of the year coming at us quick, I love to remind myself of the greatness that was 2019.  When I first thought about the year in review, I really didn't think much of it! I mean there were a few moments that stood out but all very natural so I chalk it up as a decent year and moved on. But when I come to think of it, 2019 was an epic year. I got my first internship at my dream work location, met all kinds of amazing people and gained so much confidence. I then went on to get my first full-time job and take my first major steps into building a career. I went on work trips, was trusted with clients and really feel as though 2019 brought me more self-confidence than any other year.  Not only this but I also got to travel to my best friend 3 times this year! More than any of the past years! I also was able to travel this summer with my family and enjoy a beautiful summer season. I really feel as though, although my social life still needs some attent...

New Year Obsessions

Image
Hey gems! With the new year kicking off I have a few new finds and obsessions that I am LIVING for! Some skin care, fashion and randoms! Argon oil Okay so for the first time in my life, which is way too late, I walked into The Body Shop. I discovered the nicest staff members, who were so sweet and patient with my billions of questions and introduced me to Argon oil, which is really similar to Coconut oil. I bought the oil in a spray form and I spray my whole body about three times a week. Especially in the winter, with my skin drying out super fast. I absolutely love the feeling the oil gives my skin and it gets rubbed in so easily that it doesn't just stay there and leave you oily and unable to move! I'm a moisturizing freak so this is definitely something I'm super happy about! Robe So for Christmas I got THE SOFTEST robe! It's gorgeous, cozy and I'm obsessed! I have never had a robe before that I actually used, and then I outgrew them when I really wanted ...

Why I love "Thank you, next"

Image
Hey there my gems, So much new music has been coming out and I'm living for it! From country to rap, pop to rock, I love music and I always want some background jams on. Right now, I am absolutely loving Ariana Grande's new song "Thank you, next"! Not only is it an absolute BOP, but the lyrics are so powerful and I'm sure, inspiring young women all over the world. I can't say that I'm a longtime devoted Ari fan, but she's definitely been blowing up the charts and no one can ignore the fact that she puts out hit after hit. She's gone through so much in the past few years and the strength she seems to have found in herself is coming through so strongly in her music. The acknowledgement of every lesson she's learnt from each relationship, the repetition of her gratefulness for the lessons learned, her strength, etc. all bring a really beautiful breath of fresh air. We are so used to break up songs being dis tracks, causing drama and hitting b...
