Furniture shopping

 Hey gems, 

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as summer is approaching! We have been busy trying to pick out all the furniture for the new place. It has been quite a wild journey to get here so I thought I would take some time to review everything that has been going on!

Firstly, my favourite store by far is Structube, it is my favourite place and has such a great variety of items but way less overwhelming then a big store like Ikea. 

The first thing we picked is our dining table and chairs. The chairs are warm brown leather and the table has a fake live edge that I LOVE! This was the easiest item to choose by far! This is all in a warm theme and tones that will go well with the dark floors and cabinets. We also have been very budget conscious in the whole process and the table was a great price for a larger size so this was a no-brainer. 

The next main items I picked out are decor because I had some very specific ideas like a gallery wall and big mirrors! We didn't buy them yet because I want to be moved in but it definitely helps with the mental images and laying out the overall aesthetic we want for our home.

The last item, which thankfully we have now found, is the couch. We had to stay within a specific size which made it a bit tough but we finally found a perfect couch. It is a mid tone grey, faux leather sectional that we love! Honestly I wanted the white one but I would always be paranoid that it will get dirty so we went with grey to be safe. I will be honest, there were tears in the couch search, but if the only item that caused a headache is the couch then I think we are pretty lucky. 

Finally, for those of you asking we are moving in September, which feels so close to be honest. Everything will happen so quickly! I would love to hear about your first move experience and any advice you gems may have! Check out my instagram for more updates!

Whether it is home renovation or office renovation both are time-consuming but very interesting tasks. There are many options available nowadays for furniture shopping like leather, wood, and even steel and fiber material is also there. I used to shop for furniture without giving much thought to the functionality of furniture but now I have understood that it matters. Dear 2020, You certainly threw us for a loop didn’t you? We were all chanting about 20/20 vision and you thought “Ha just wait and see!”. Not only did you show us just how quickly we can lose everything we thought we would always have, you have given us a new appreciation for things we used to let go unnoticed.  In March, we all thought we were getting a fun two weeks of break, two weeks working from home, a little fun time.
