Tia Things 2

Image
Hey hey hey! Welcome back to my page gems! I am starting off today with a second Tia Things all about items, obsessions, shows and whatever else I am loving at the moment! First things first, lets talk fashion shall we? I have had a long-term love affair with puff sleeves, as I've talked about in my blog dedicated to them. But there are so many new items I am loving and as the spring approaches- sometimes at what feels like a snail's pace- I am loving the neon trend. Let me tell you guys that if you see me during wedding season in a black outfit you best believe it is because my heels and clutch are neon! I am so excited for the warmer weather to play around with this trend I think it will be so fun and can be done in any way from nails, to clothing and accessories. We will certainly be seeing neon this season and it will certainly be included in my outfits! Next up, I am sure many of you have watched this show, it became a viral sensation this winter but Love is Blind  s...

Summer to Fall Fashion 101

Hey gems, Lately the weather is keeping me on my toes with some cool rainy days mixed with hot summer style afternoons. It definitely is difficult because one half of me wants to cuddle in knit sweaters and the other wants to keep summer going as long as possible. So I've come up with a few ways to blend my fashion love and still be on trend. Hair I'm a big fan of keeping my hair up in buns, high pony tails, and away from my face in the summer time but in the fall and winter I usually keep it down. I'm torn with the weather being what it is, I leave the house cold and when I leave work in the evening it's warm and I have to put my hair up. I started to notice a lot of people digging into the head band trend and thought that might be a good middle for my hair! Boy am I obsessed! I use the cutest head bands for things like when I am doing my makeup in the morning, to keep my hair out of my face all day. Not to mention, it's a great middle between hair up and hair...

Winter to Spring Fashion

Image
Hey there my gems, It's MARCH and that means that the snow is melting and the sun is shining a little brighter! This time is so exciting because we know spring is just around the corner and it's definitely helping to get through these last bits of cold winter. There are still big puffy coats and some boots to wear but there are ways to start switching from winter looks to spring! Sunglasses The sun is out and it's time to shine! Sun glasses are an obsession for me, I own so many pairs! No only can you get different styles & colors, but you can also wear them in your hair as an accessory. Sunglasses are a little shine and sparkle added to your outfit without taking over and they can easily be removed. I'm obsessed and so should you because they bring out the sun and I cannot wait to wear them all day!!! Ankle or Ripped jeans Okay, ankle jeans might need to take a slight backseat until the weather warms a little more, but ripped jeans can definitely start comin...

All Hail the Nails

Image
Hey there my gems! I've done Fashion Tips, Fall Faves and Men 's Trends, BUT NOW it's time for my obsession:  NAILS NAILS NAILS. My nails have always been  super important to me, having them done is an easy way to have a sense of being "done up" even though you may not be wearing makeup. I've tried everything from Shellac to Acrylic and I'm going to go through my reviews of each option. Shellac Shellac is a great midpoint from nail polish and fake nails. It's a thicker nail polish which uses a UV light to dry, and  lasts about 3-5 weeks. I did shellac for a few months on different occasions and I liked it but at the time I was a lifeguard so working in the chlorine, the shellac wouldn't last as long. I think Shellac is a really great option if you don't want to be constantly fixing your nail polish nor want fake nails. Prices can range anywhere between 20$-50$ depending on the quality, location, etc. Acrylic Acrylic nails are fake ...

Men Fashion Trends

Boys and Men listen up! Here are some fashion  trends for you that are out right now and that will definitely help you stand out in a crowded room! So listen up because here we go! Velvet Velvet is an ongoing 2018 trend and it's a great way to add some texture to your outfit. There are so many ways to add this in subtly if you'd rather not make a huge statement. Leather shoes, for example, are a fantastic way to blend in some velvet and make a statement. It's easily worked into your overall outfit not to stand out too much, if you'd rather be subtle but also an amazing way to be a show stopper. Layers on Layers Don't be afraid to layer yourself up in the colder seasons. Add some layers for not only your comfort, but your style too! Knowing how to layer and blend materials can be tricky, but start off slow and once you get the hang of it, it becomes a reflex! This shows the extra time you took to pull together an outfit which really speaks trendy and gets y...

Quick Fashion Fixes

Hey there my gems! Photo Cred: Fashion In Flux Here are some super quick and easy ways to take your outfit up a fashion notch, without needing to spend money or time on them! This is especially important for those shopaholics out there (like me)! Sounds too good to be true? Check these out! 1. Tuck in By tucking your top in you are automatically changing the look of your outfit and creating a more shape defining look! Want to take it a notch higher? Try the Tuck Up! Tuck your chunky knits and cozy sweaters up into your bra. Sounds weird, I know, but it automatically brings your outfit to a slightly sexier side and gives a variety of ways to re-wear that fave sweater of yours! Photo Cred: Fashion In Flux 2. Accessorize Guys, a belt is everything! It makes your outfit a little more classy and makes it seem as though you thought out the overall look of your outfit. Next up is the bag and shoes you choose. These two accessories can make or break your outfit, a mini heel is a...

Makeup Madness

Image
Hey guys! I'm so excited or today's blog! I am not the kind of girl to wear makeup everyday, a little mascara  if I have time and I'm out the door. But that all changes if I'm going to an event or a party! I will get ready hours early and make sure my face is looking just right! I love it when I get the chance to go all out on my makeup, its always so fun to try new things, add new colors and have some fun! **All of my makeup products which are on this blog are drugstore products and super affordable. The only product which isn't drugstore bought is the Becca Highlight, and although it's a bit more expensive it's totally worth it! I've had mine for over a year and it's not near being finished so definitely a good investment to make.** Mascara My mascara is my best friend, on a lazy day or getting ready for a night out, it makes all the difference. Not only is Mascara a quick and easy way to add to your look, but it's inexpensive and yo...

Fall Fashion Staples

Image
Hey guys! Fall is officially here in all her glory and it's time to talk Fall Fashion!!! Here are my must have fall Fashion Staples! Blanket scarf Honestly, if you don't own a blanket scarf you're doing fall weather all wrong! Who doesn't want to basically carry around a comforter with them all day? Be able to wrap themselves up and cuddle themselves whenever they wish! Not to mention everyone around you also has one so no one is judging you  basically carrying a big ass blanket with you. Leather Jacket The classic leather jacket is an alternative to the gazillion of sweater and cardigans I'm sure you own! Not only can it be added to those sweaters and cozy outfits to add a small edgy vibe but it can be worn completely separately. Not to mention, when the weather gets a little warmer and it's in that award phase where it's too cold for no sweater but too warm for a knit sweater, BOOM leather jacket. Raining and you can't wear a knit or it...
