Summer to Fall Fashion 101

Hey gems,

Lately the weather is keeping me on my toes with some cool rainy days mixed with hot summer style afternoons. It definitely is difficult because one half of me wants to cuddle in knit sweaters and the other wants to keep summer going as long as possible. So I've come up with a few ways to blend my fashion love and still be on trend.

Hair
I'm a big fan of keeping my hair up in buns, high pony tails, and away from my face in the summer time but in the fall and winter I usually keep it down. I'm torn with the weather being what it is, I leave the house cold and when I leave work in the evening it's warm and I have to put my hair up. I started to notice a lot of people digging into the head band trend and thought that might be a good middle for my hair! Boy am I obsessed! I use the cutest head bands for things like when I am doing my makeup in the morning, to keep my hair out of my face all day. Not to mention, it's a great middle between hair up and hair down!

Bottoms
The issue with this is that I still want to wear dresses but the morning is too cold to do that! My middle so far has been skirts and knits, that way I can be cozy and warm in the morning but also keep a little summer look for the warmer times. I love this look because it really does blend the seasons and works for the changing weather. Not to mention it can be paired with booties on chilly days, or sandals on summer weather days!

Shoes
Booties are a favorite in the Fall, especially since they go with skirts, pants and dresses! I also love over the knee boots as an option when the weather is colder, but I still want to wear dresses or skirts! For more relaxed days, running shoes are the best, especially before the snow hits and they all work with more or less warm outfits!

Coats
I love how much fun I can have with different coats in this weather! Different colors really change up an entire outfit and an bring it from basic to Fashion 101! Long, short or furry coats! Honestly, I'm bias to the furry because it's basically like wearing a blanket!

The season is definitely getting colder faster and faster, so these tips are running out quick! Before we know it Winter will be here and giant coats, heavy boots and scarves will be needed! So get your Fall on while you can!

Talk soon gems XX,
T

I love wearing headbands at home. Only because I don't feel like I can pull them off in public
