Summer Skin Routine

Hey gems!
So the summer has had a lot of ups and downs and the pandemic is still affecting a lot of us. That being said I am spending so much time outside in the sun this year that I noticed my skin reacting and needed to change up my skin care routine!

1. Hydrating
My skin has never been oily or dry it's always just in the middle depending on the day. What I found is that it was so dry, flaking off and no matter how much I moisturized it didn't improve. I started drinking tones more water and noticed almost immediately that my skin was much more hydrated too and not at all flaking. I now try to drink 4-8 water bottles everyday and my skin is thriving!! Not to mention all the other benefits that come along with this!

2. Low/No makeup
Because of the gloriousness that is WFH, my skin has gotten a great break from makeup, my pores have a new life and I am way more confident being without makeup for every Zoom call. Don't get me wrong I love getting dressed up once a week to go into the office but every other day I stick to makeup free and not only has it helped my skin heal and be healthier, but my confidence has also grown so much in terms of not wearing makeup. 

3. Moisturizing
I am someone who always moisturized my skin at the end of the day, but I now really take the intiative to moisturize both in the morning and before bed. This way I feel like I can protect my skin and coat prior to sunscreen, as well as moisturize after a long day in the sun!
