Love Tips Part 2
Hey there my gems,
With everything that has been going on in the world, I didn't know what to write about lately let alone how because of how constantly evolving the situation is all over the world.
I hope you are all staying safe, healthy and taking care of each other.
When I got a request last week to write a new love tips blog, I thought to myself that there was no way I can do that, during the current situation of the world. Then I realized that love might be exactly what we need. Not to mention there is so much going on right now, tensions, emotions and stress is high, it easily takes a toll on our relationships.
1. Spread love
Ever heard of "what goes around comes around", Karma , "you
shall get what you give", etc. I don't know about you guys but I believe whole heartedly that the worlds gives what it gets. So lets start by spreading love, showing love and earning love. The more love we show to our families, friends, lovers, communities, etc. The more we will have love returned to us. Not to mention, doing simple acts of kindness is proven to boost your mood. Now you might be thinking what does my mood have to do with love tips. Well think of it this way, we all have those days when we are low on patience, and just not in the mood for anything or anyone. The truth is that simply smiling, or being in a happier mood makes you more open to seeing the "good" and that can go a long way when you are stuck in quarantine with you loved ones.
2. Take a moment
Now I personally am and have always been very firm on being against the idea of "breaks". Since Ross and Rachel, it was never a question to me: breaks are never a good idea. That being said, I think that there is a difference between a full on relationship break and a small mental break like a walk! Small moments whether it be a relaxing bath, reading a book, taking a walk, etc. make sense in a time where we are all feeling more closed in than ever. So I still say no to "taking a break" from your relationship, but a little bit of alone time for your self-care is something I will always get behind!
3. Be thankful
By taking a moment of gratitude for your loved ones and all the care they give to you, it can easily alleviate any unhappy feelings or any disputes when the bad is put against the good. A small disagreement can easily be ended when it is looked at from a greater perspective. So everyone take a breath and list to yourself all the things you are thankful for. I guarantee that this will help not only for your relationships but also your mentality.
Finally I just want to tell you all that as we focus on the world, changing the system, ending a pandemic and worrying about our relationships, it is also more important than ever to worry about ourselves. So love yourself just as much as you love others.
Love always,
T
