Love Tips Part 2

Image
Hey there my gems, With everything that has been going on in the world, I didn't know what to write about lately let alone how because of how constantly evolving the situation is all over the world. I hope you are all staying safe, healthy and taking care of each other. When I got a request last week to write a new love tips blog, I thought to myself that there was no way I can do that, during the current situation of the world. Then I realized that love might be exactly what we need. Not to mention there is so much going on right now, tensions, emotions and stress is high, it easily takes a toll on our relationships. 1. Spread love Ever heard of "what goes around comes around", Karma , "you shall get what you give", etc. I don't know about you guys but I believe whole heartedly that the worlds gives what it gets. So lets start by spreading love, showing love and earning love. The more love we show to our families, friends, lovers, communities, etc...

Epic Girls' Weekend

Image
Okay my gems time to get serious. There are just times in life where the only answer to any problem is girl time. The weather cools, girl time. The post-holidays stress sets in, girl time. The answer is always girl time. So, as the holidays ended and school was looming, we had an extravaganza! It started with flights being booked because we sadly don't all live in the same place. Then a plan was made and BAM we were ready to go! Honestly, the excitement of knowing a girls' weekend is coming is in itself enough! Also knowing sushi was involved, because I love sushi! Here's how it went down! Picked up one cutie from the airport, and since everyone else was working that day, we had a little relaxing afternoon, watched a chick flick, unpacked, settled in and got ready for SUSHI! Okay so to be super honest here, I think my extreme anticipation of the sushi night lead to my own problem. You know when you want something so bad and think about how amazing it will taste...

S T R E S S E D

Hey guys, Anyone else feeling the weight of the semester getting heavier or is that just me? I thought today I'd do something different than my tips and tricks and just let you guys know what I'm struggling with and what is happening that is keeping life so hectic! First of all, school is school. There's no escaping it and the moment you think you're ahead, you fall three steps behind. I am definitely feeling the stress and the expectations of profs getting more and more restraining. I feel like because I love school and generally do well, people think that I never have a hard time. Which could not be farther from the truth. I have such a hard time getting through stress and putting my worries to the side. I am a self diagnosed snow-baller. If you don't know what I am talking about, I basically think of one thing that can go wrong, then everything that will snowball from there and basically I'll end up living at home forever. Next up is work, my part ti...

Summer's Salute!

Image
This year, summer was emotional, unexpected, beautiful, and terrifying. Through the good, bad and sweaty, summer kept me on my toes, so here's a little tribute to summer '18.  The season started by taking all the plans I had made, and flipping them upside down. Not only, was I supposed to spend a MONTH on vacation with my closest friends and family, but I wasn't going to work, possibly go to Disney and spend 31 days with my toes in the sand. It was supposed to be THE summer of ALL summers. But then it wasn't. Some mix up at the office meant my parents couldn't take the time off, and there was no hope for me to take off on my own, so I cried and said adios to my dream summer and aloha to NOTHING. Too late to take hours at work, plan another vacation or make any plans remotely close to a month on the beach. So there I was, mid may, knowing exactly 5 things: 1. I was not going on vacation. 2. I was now signed up to 3 summer courses at school. 3. My...

Hey guys, Today is all about appreciation for my sweet, sweet friends and our stories. When I was in high school, I had a very tight knit group of friends, and like all high schoolers we thought we'd be together forever, but that's not what happened. Some of us became school and grade obsessed, while others wanted to live out their wild teenage nights. This and the different schools definitely caused some division in the group. Nothing nasty, just time apart. Which was weird because the plan was to be together forever. The more time past, the more we all changed and wanted different things. The interesting thing is that I really only keep in touch with one of the high school girls,  after some small drama and time apart we reconnected and are now so beautifully close. I know that she will always be the most trustworthy and honest person around me, which is so great because we all need that person to keep us grounded. Juls is the hardest working, most dedicated human bein...
