Favourite Youtubers

Hey Gems,
I have been asked a lot about youtube, if I want to do youtube, how I feel about outube, etc. I think this is a common thing for people who have blogs and no presence on youtube. I thought I would answer these and then go into my favorite youtubers!

As you probably can guess since I have favorite youtubers, yes, I like youtube. I love following vloggers and youtubers that have content tailored to my likes. Even though they aren't speaking to me directly that is the great thing about youtube, it always feels personal.

I guess I will start with why I am not on youtube. Honestly there isn’t a particular reason, I would do youtube but I feel like my content is so wide ranging that I don't know what it would focus on and I wouldn't want to have a channel unless I know what the focus was going to be.

So I will start getting into some of my favourite youtubers and you'll see they have varying styles and content as well!

Lovely Like Laura
Lovely Laura has very specific content, I love this because when I watched her videos I know exactly what I am getting. She posts book reviews, commentaries and most of all suggestions. She is amazing at describing the story in a way that makes me want to run out to buy them immediately. She has amazing suggestions and uses tropes or themes to classify them so you know before even watching if it is a storyline you want to read or not! 

Ace Family
I know the ACE Family is controversial at the moment with a lot of items, but it is undeniable to say that they haven't had an incredible few years and their evolution has been so fun to watch through their daughters, their vlogs and those hilarious pranks. I also love their relative's Landon and Shyla's channel (L&S) they definitely have a vibe very similar to ACE Family. 

KBandbaby
I love Katie and Ben, they are super relaxed and authentic. There is always a very real essence to their videos and their kids are just too dang cute. I think a huge part of their channel that I love is that they talk about everyday issues and situations that are super relatable for their viewers. You don’t need to be a parent, young, etc. you can find something to relate to no matter who you are in their channel. 

I used to watch many more youtubers religiously but now have slowly been watching less and less. There isn't necessarily a reason for this other than not having as much free time anymore.

 Hi Gems,  Wow it has been a while. The last time I wrote and published on here was in October which honestly feels like a lifetime. Furniture shopping

 Hey gems,  I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as summer is approaching! We have been busy trying to pick out all the furniture for the new place. It has been quite a wild journey to get here so I thought I would take some time to review everything that has been going on! Firstly, my favourite store by far is Structube , it is my favourite place and has such a great variety of items but way less overwhelming then a big store like Ikea.  The first thing we picked is our dining table and chairs. The chairs are warm brown leather and the table has a fake live edge that I LOVE! This was the easiest item to choose by far! This is all in a warm theme and tones that will go well with the dark floors and cabinets. We also have been very budget conscious in the whole process and the table was a great price for a larger size so this was a no-brainer.  The next main items I picked out are decor because I had some very specific ideas like a gallery wall and big mirrors! Low budget Fall (lockdown) date ideas

Hey gems! How is everyone doing? Recently I have had to get super creative when it comes to date nights especially with the new lockdown we are limited in where we can go. So of course date night often include walks because not only is it great to get fresh air but it helps with the mental components of being stuck inside. We get tired of them quick though and need to mix it up during the week so here is what I came up with! Turn TV into games: You can chose any show or movie you are watching and turn it into a game! For example, every time a certain character says their catch phrase you either take a bite, drink or do something silly that you both agree on! it can be something silly or answering any question! This basically gets as creative as you want to! Newlywed game (quiz) Basically any type of quizzing each other on how well you know each other! We did this with my sister and her boyfriend as a competition but it can be fun just between the two of you as well! This is super cute ...
