Winter Skin Care Routine

I thought you might like to know my Winter skin care routine and how it differs from my normal skincare routine. The cold and the dry weather definitely affect my skin so here's my routine and my products!
Morning:
Full body moisture! I've used different moisturizers for my body but I am currently using the Nivea Deep Care and Repair and love the deep moisture it gives my skin. It also has some coconut and I love the feeling. For my face I use the Celeste Face moisturizer from Lush. I'm absolutely obsessed with it, it's not too heavy, but definitely enough that I feel the difference.
Mid day:
This depends on whether I'm home or not, if I'm at school I have a portable hand moisturizer which I apply after lunch- don't ask me why the time is so specific it just works! However if I'm home I tend to stay away from moisturizing mid day because I didn't go into the cold and don't want to constantly overwhelm my skin.
Evening:
The evening is when the most effort gets put into my skincare routine. Twice a week, I do a Cream of Mint Mask, from Lush, which is super important because it isn't too abrasive. With the dryness of the winter I try not to be too harsh on my skin. This can be used as either a mask or to exfoliate so depending on how my skin is doing I may use it either way, but I stick to twice a week. Once a week, or twice depending on my skin, I use a toner that I LOVE from Biore. I use it only once a week though because it is quite strong and when my skin is dry I definitely feel the burn.
After this, I do another round of Celeste and Nivea. I try to make sure I apply my last layer of moisturizer a few hours before I go to bed to allow my skin to absorb it. It's really important not to layer too much on your skin before bed because that's when your skin is doing most of it's growth. I also put on a decent layer of Vaseline on my lips in the evening, can't forget them!
This is my go-to routine but I also love trying new products so I definitely change it up once and a while, also depending if my skin is cooperative or not! Baths are also a really important aspect for me, I love using soothing and skin healing bath bombs, but I don't get to enjoy them as often as I'd like!
That's it for today my gems!
Stay cozy!
