Hello hello beautiful people!

My goodness it feels like a lifetime has passed since I last typed onto this page. I have had a tone of TikTok success and I won't lie, it took all my attention! Lately my life revolves around my full-time job, wedding planning and trying to save money... not easy considering the wedding planning. 

Here are some high level updates as to our wedding planning and stay tuned for a tone more updates and wedding content coming!

1. The venue, the vendors and the plan are all set!

I was pretty lucky that my fiancé and I had a very similar vision for our wedding- a big vision. Unfortunately, we were a bit naive as to what the cost of that would be, but we are certainly learning to plan and save money more than ever. It is also the first time we are in situations where we need to decline plans because they are simply too expensive. Overall, the quick first months of engagement were really successful in planning and locking in location, vendors and putting down all deposits. 

2. Next steps!

Coming up quickly will be out bridal party proposals and quickly followed by some shopping for suits, dresses and the tux for my soon-to-be husband! We are set on our colour scheme and party numbers - which is a whole other topic - Who to include! This will be a whole other blog because it truly was probably the most anxiety inducing.

3. So many detail! 

From stationary, to signs and decor, the smaller details are what my world seems to be consumed by at this point in time and I'll be honest, I both love and hate it. I love the fact that I have a set vision which is easy for me to pull together in theory, but the options are endless, the details and fonts, the dollars and cents, to rent or buy, etc. The options are endless even when you are looking for something specific, and there is no choice but to shop around, which is immensely time consuming!

 Hey gems,  I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as summer is approaching! We have been busy trying to pick out all the furniture for the new place. It has been quite a wild journey to get here so I thought I would take some time to review everything that has been going on! Firstly, my favourite store by far is Structube , it is my favourite place and has such a great variety of items but way less overwhelming then a big store like Ikea.  The first thing we picked is our dining table and chairs. The chairs are warm brown leather and the table has a fake live edge that I LOVE! This was the easiest item to choose by far! This is all in a warm theme and tones that will go well with the dark floors and cabinets. Low budget Fall (lockdown) date ideas

Hey gems! How is everyone doing? Recently I have had to get super creative when it comes to date nights especially with the new lockdown we are limited in where we can go. So of course date night often include walks because not only is it great to get fresh air but it helps with the mental components of being stuck inside. We get tired of them quick though and need to mix it up during the week so here is what I came up with! Turn TV into games: You can chose any show or movie you are watching and turn it into a game! For example, every time a certain character says their catch phrase you either take a bite, drink or do something silly that you both agree on! it can be something silly or answering any question! This basically gets as creative as you want to! Newlywed game (quiz) Basically any type of quizzing each other on how well you know each other! We did this with my sister and her boyfriend as a competition but it can be fun just between the two of you as well! This is super cute

Dear 2020

Dear 2020, You certainly threw us for a loop didn’t you? We were all chanting about 20/20 vision and you thought “Ha just wait and see!”. Not only did you show us just how quickly we can lose everything we thought we would always have, you have given us a new appreciation for things we used to let go unnoticed.  In March, we all thought we were getting a fun two weeks of break, two weeks working from home, a little fun time. Boy oh boy did we learn pretty quick that we would be home and confided longer and with more restrictions added on weekly.  At first, part of me loved it. I’ve always been a home body but man did that get pushed to every limit possible.
