Back again: A life recap!

 Hey gems!

Wow, I just saw my blog and realized no content has come up since July. How crazy! From posting almost weekly to disappearing, it has been an interesting few months. 

Let me catch you up on all that has been going on!

Firstly, with the ups and downs of the pandemic, I am excited to say that work has been very busy. This is a positive problem and one that is helpful but also taxing mentally. Working in PR during a pandemic has been an extremely challenging time! I am very excited to see things slowly but surely returning to normal.

Other than work, we have been preparing for our move which is now in full effect! We are spending evenings and weekends cleaning and on constant calls with various people and deliveries. We are excited to see all the planning come to fruition as we start to get some furniture in the coming weeks! You can expect a full breakdown of the process, changes and final product coming soon!

On top of all of this are the other variety of things happening from my sister's wedding planning, friends moving, summer outings, more weddings and just wanting to enjoy the sunshine! 

It has been a wild ride lately but I have to say... I have never felt so much like an adult!

 Hey gems,  I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as summer is approaching! We have been busy trying to pick out all the furniture for the new place. It has been quite a wild journey to get here so I thought I would take some time to review everything that has been going on! Firstly, my favourite store by far is Structube , it is my favourite place and has such a great variety of items but way less overwhelming then a big store like Ikea.  The first thing we picked is our dining table and chairs. The chairs are warm brown leather and the table has a fake live edge that I LOVE! This was the easiest item to choose by far! This is all in a warm theme and tones that will go well with the dark floors and cabinets. We also have been very budget conscious in the whole process and the table was a great price for a larger size so this was a no-brainer.  The next main items I picked out are decor because I had some very specific ideas like a gallery wall and big mirrors! Low budget Fall (lockdown) date ideas

Hey gems! How is everyone doing? Recently I have had to get super creative when it comes to date nights especially with the new lockdown we are limited in where we can go. So of course date night often include walks because not only is it great to get fresh air but it helps with the mental components of being stuck inside. We get tired of them quick though and need to mix it up during the week so here is what I came up with! Turn TV into games: You can chose any show or movie you are watching and turn it into a game! For example, every time a certain character says their catch phrase you either take a bite, drink or do something silly that you both agree on! it can be something silly or answering any question! This basically gets as creative as you want to! Newlywed game (quiz) Basically any type of quizzing each other on how well you know each other! We did this with my sister and her boyfriend as a competition but it can be fun just between the two of you as well! This is super cute

Dear 2020

Dear 2020, You certainly threw us for a loop didn’t you? We were all chanting about 20/20 vision and you thought “Ha just wait and see!”. Not only did you show us just how quickly we can lose everything we thought we would always have, you have given us a new appreciation for things we used to let go unnoticed.  In March, we all thought we were getting a fun two weeks of break, two weeks working from home, a little fun time. Boy oh boy did we learn pretty quick that we would be home and confided longer and with more restrictions added on weekly.  At first, part of me loved it. I’ve always been a home body but man did that get pushed to every limit possible. I never wished I can do little things like go to the movies or a mall without being terrified of how many items I’m touching more in my life. 2020 has given us the gift of perception.
