Girls' Weekend
Hey gems,
Last weekend was a hectic, amazing and shopping filled with a LOT of champagne! Definitely a girls' weekend to remember! We left Friday and spent the three day weekend in the city! Each day involved shopping, amazing food, drinks and my best friends!
We started with a lot of shopping and I have to say H&M was THE BEST spot of the weekend! I got three knits, a cute leather skirt and layered necklaces. I also bought a summer dress and snake print silk skirt at Zara. I have to say, I don't usually shop at either of those stores, but they are definitely becoming favorites!
Next up was some amazing food and drinks at different rooftops! We used this time to explore more of the city on foot, walking downtown and seeing the views. It was a super fun way to use the daytime! Most of the days were super calm, no tight schedule, no time limit, just us walking around, some pink drinks and some chatting.
The evenings were definitely way busier! Night one, we went to a club which I really liked at first but then took a turn. The bar we went to was a small one, with a very trendy feel of gray tones and natural wood. A gorgeous decor but we noticed right away that it was filled with 90% men. This isn't something that is usually an issue, but the guys at this club were especially rude and obnoxious. It definitely ruined the feeling for a moment, but we ended up staying for a little before returning to our hotel room for some MTV and PJ time!
Night two was Italian night, which means as of one a.m. a specific club would be playing only Italian music. It was an absolute blast! We sang along and danced all night! This was definitely a highlight for me because not only was it the opposite of the night before with guys being so gentlemanly, but the music was AMAZING. There wasn't one complaint about the music, Italian or not It was definitely a night to remember!
The next day we kicked things off with an amazing brunch and finally hit the road back home! After a long weekend filled with tones of events and no sleep, I was excited to get back home. One of my favorite parts of small getaways like this is the driving. Road trips are amazing for the peaceful and relaxing scenery, not to mention the bonding time in the car!
That was my girls' weekend and I can't wait for the next one, but I definitely need some rest first!
Cheers gems!
