Hey there my gems!

Summer may be over but its never too early or too late for some style tips!
Heat wave after heat wave, my hometown has bone chilling winters, but this summer has turned up the heat! The warm weather has been amazing but means comfort and staying cool are most important!

Some summer obsessions have definitely been based off the heat!

Anything rayon is a no go
Rayon is a material that I love for the look a lot of the time in winter or for blouses, but it doesn’t breathe at all. I’ve been on the lookout when shopping to make sure materials are breathable and won’t add any heat! Cotton is EVERYTHING!

Pastels and florals
Summer is my favourite time to play with lighter colours, especially since I’m a burgundy and brown winter style kind of girl. I’m living for pink pencil skirts, floral blouses and summer dresses of all colours. Did I buy a yellow pair of shoes and an orange purse? Yes, I did!!!

Flirty fun
When I’m not in the office it’s so fun to play around. From cut off overalls to rompers and crop tops! There’s no limit to the different styles to try and blends! One day it’s sassy cut offs and the next is a cute summer dress. I love the “flirty” look because it can be cute, sassy or sweet!

Rompers!
Looks like a dress but it’s shorts…YES PLEASE! Rompers are amazing they are cozy, cute and when they look like a classy dress, even better! I love rompers and jumpsuits because not only are they one of the easiest ways to put together an outfit, but they are also super comfortable. The fact that you can throw on a pair of heels and be ready for girls’ night or put on some sneaker and be ready for a picnic is just beyond perfect!!

Wide Leg pants
Okay, so in the past I have been very skeptical of wider legged pants because I thought they wouldn’t be as flattering as a skinny look but boy was I wrong! I just about live in my fave flowy pants, they are more comfortable, breathable, and so cute!

I'll be over here hanging onto the heat for dear life before fall and winter come in!

 Hi Gems,  Wow it has been a while. The last time I wrote and published on here was in October which honestly feels like a lifetime. Furniture shopping

 Hey gems,  I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as summer is approaching! We have been busy trying to pick out all the furniture for the new place. It has been quite a wild journey to get here so I thought I would take some time to review everything that has been going on! Firstly, my favourite store by far is Structube , it is my favourite place and has such a great variety of items but way less overwhelming then a big store like Ikea.  The first thing we picked is our dining table and chairs. The chairs are warm brown leather and the table has a fake live edge that I LOVE! This was the easiest item to choose by far! This is all in a warm theme and tones that will go well with the dark floors and cabinets. We also have been very budget conscious in the whole process and the table was a great price for a larger size so this was a no-brainer.  The next main items I picked out are decor because I had some very specific ideas like a gallery wall and big mirrors! She's a wife!

Hi gems, after soooo much time away from the blog I am back with a life update! I have now been married for a month and had the most incredible honeymoon! We are just getting back home and resetting into a routine. The switch back to reality isn't an easy one but we are still on cloud nine from the events of the summer so that certainly helps! So with that said I think we are well overdo on a life update! Your girl is welcoming fall after a month in Europe and an incredible summer! Not only did my bestfriends get married in the most magical day, but we got to have a summer filled with so many celebrations. Summer 2024 will go down in the history books for sure as a summer of love. I also had another major life change earlier in the summer, I changed job! After five years at an agency, with the people I loved and who taught me so much. I got an opportunity at a company that is HUGE and rated a top company to work for. The job itself and benefits made it a deal I could not turn down....
