Tia Things

Hey there my gems,
It feels like a lifetime since I've last posted. I mentioned finding a new routine and I definitely underestimated how much time and adapting that would take between graduation and starting a full time job. I missed blogging but I honestly have been to sleepy to get out my laptop and type! So here I am, back in the groove and trying to focus on what I love!

Since my blog is called Tia Things, I thought it might be fun to add a Tia Things segment where everything and anything can be talked about! Girl chat, life issues, Q & As, etc.

Today I'm keeping it simple and talking about my new obsessions, routines- or attempts at routines- and some discoveries I made!

SO over the last few weeks a few things have become crystal clear!

1. I need to stop drinking Starbucks because my bank account cannot handle it and it is WAY too embarrassing when the barista knows your name and order by heart!

2. Sleep is everything. I need to rest, at the very least, but when I go without sleep my whole mood is dampened and I really feel less energetic and healthy. So if I'm not blogging, I am sleeping!

3. A social life doesn't need to be complicated! I have really been trying to make sure that even though I am now working full time, that I find a balance with my social life. It doesn't need to be anything huge and that's something I have learned. I;m super happy with a movie after work, some chit chat and then off to bed! Seeing my friends' faces and getting some social interaction with different people really makes all the difference.

4. Life is expensive but I also want it all. I want to shop SO BAD- and I did some mini shopping trips, but I am really trying to focus on the "musts". I must save to buy a car, move out, travel, get married, etc. All those things are musts and the clothes I buy when shopping are not! So from now on, necessities only and a tight budget!

5. Working out is REALLY hard. I have had such a tough time finding the energy to work out in the midst of my week, and then the last thing I want to do on the weekend is sweat. So right now I have changed my focus from working out to eating healthier. Eating cleaner makes me feel so much better and I feel more confident about my body too! So this is an ongoing process,

6. Time passes so fast. I am really noticing how time flies and I, now more than ever, want to make sure I am doing things that I love and treasure with my time. Don't get me wrong I am all about working my ass off too! But making time for small things like reading, relaxing, blogging, these are small things that make all the difference!
