Scrub-a-dub Spring
Alright gems,
It's officially spring and I couldn't be more excited to live in the warmth and watch the world bloom out of the grey winter. This year I've been very focused on my skin throughout the winter and huge mistake that I found people make is that once the warmer weather starts, we don't have to be so worried about our skin. In reality, it's super important for us to transition our skin, get rid of the dead skin, etc. from the winter and prep it for the sun and dry weather.
I've never used body scrubs in previous years butt this year they've become my obsession! Not only do they remove dead skin cells, but then leave your skin ready for hydration and deeper clean. I've tested out a few and I am definitely loyal to y top three scrubs! Here they are and why I love them!
The Body Shop's Coconut Body Cream Scrub:
This scrub I love because it's in a cream form which means that although it has rough granules within it, the cream is smoother and less harsh for your skin. This is definitely a more go-to, scrub for anyone with sensitive skin. You can also use it more often because it is less rough so your skin can handle a little more.
The Blaq Body Scrub Pouch:
This body scrub comes in a different style package, a bag. The little pouch style resealable bag is simple and loyal to Blaq Style in it's simplicity. I'm not going to lie the first time I used this scrub I had a freak out moment. It literally turned y skin black and I thought it was stained because even after rinsing the scrub the color didn't come off. I looked like some kind of weird fake tan gone very wrong. But once I washed off completely, post freak-out, it rinsed off well and the fact that you need to fully wash the scrub off it felt like more of a process and a fuller, deeper scrub feel.
Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal Body Scrub:
I got this scrub in my Spring Fab it Fit Fun Box and I loved it right away because it was an add to my collection! I really like the mix of minerals including deep sea mineral, charcoal and a smooth champagne mix. It brings harsh scrubbing to your skin and gets the job done but also leaves you feeling fresh. I hate when I scrub is too harsh that my skin burns or aches afterwards, that means it was too harsh for me and my skin can't handle it.
The truth is the only way to get to know what level of sensitivity or deep scrubs you like for your skin is by trying products. Most shops have sample or small sized containers you can try and tests out. Pretty much my motto is: If there's a sample, take it.
Make sure to keep your skin hydrated, cleansed and ready for the sun & Happy Spring my gems!
