Be Mine?

MY GEMS!
I'm back and today is one of my favorite days of the year! Not only is Valentine's Day romantic and beautiful, but it gives you an opportunity to remember how lucky you are and show your appreciation for your loved ones! Now, lets take a minute to deal with two side notes!

First, yes I know people say everyday should be Valentine's and you should always treat your loved ones special, but this is the day to go ALL OUT! Life size teddy bear? Get it. Over-sized bouquet? purchased! Second, people hate Valentine's Day and I totally get that, but I don't consider valentines day only for couples, in fact I'm having a ladies night tonight! This day is to celebrate any and all people who mean something important to you and spoil them a little so let loose and get giving!

I thought it might be fun to reminisce a little today about the most caring things that have ever been done for me! Not just romantic, because, well you'll see!

So a few years ago I went through my first break up and my sister did the absolute sweetest thing! She is always super thoughtful but she made me a paper, with all kinds of quotes like "Pick up your head princes your tiara is falling off". It was such a small gesture, but it really was beautiful because she took time out of her day to write me a little something that I can look at everyday and feel motivated. Now, almost four years later, I still have it taped up behind my wall and anytime I need a little boost, I go right to those notes.

Okay next up I have to give some props to my man because he is the sweetest and most thoughtful boyfriend! Daniel has done so many sweet things and the one thing that I love is that he surprises me when it's least expected. Sure there are holidays and birthdays, but it's sweet notes on random days, thoughtful messages, small gifts like teddy bears, flowers, etc. Taking care of my mom's garden while we were on vacation was a good one but the one thing he's done that I just have to tell you all, is something he didn't do for me but for my sister. On last Valentine's day, so it's fitting I tell this story today, Daniel showed up to my door with a dozen roses, which was sweet enough, but he also got one rose extra, and when I asked him why he said he wanted to make sure my sister got a flower on Valentine's day. There are some people in the world who do the expected like get their loved ones flowers, and then there is Daniel. That's a story that pretty much defines his personality perfectly.

Lastly, my dad is pretty much my hero, which I guess is normal because that's how daughters should view their fathers. But he does something quite often which is a small gesture, but it means so much to me. When he knows that I have an exam, a tough day, or a new start that I might be nervous for, like a job, he will send me texts throughout the day like "GO get them tiger" or "You got this". He's a personal cheerleader! Also shout out to my mom because she's reading this and yes mom you're also my cheerleader, love ya XX.

Happy Valentine's day my loves, hope you all get spoiled today an if not, then spoil yourself because self-love is really all you need today!
Talk soon,
T XX
