Holiday Shopping Guide

Tis' the season to be merry and stressed as you sprint through the mall looking for those holiday gifts!

I'm slightly crazy and love to be done my holiday shopping really early and this year's gifts are ALL DONE!  Let's be honest here, once Halloween passes there's really nothing else to do but plan for the holiday break! Here are some tips for those of you planning to get that holiday shopping done, how to stay organized, on budget and focused.

1. Plan ahead
Knowing what items you're looking for helps you stay on budget and on time. Rather than frantically buying anything you think someone would like and then accidentally buying way too much of nothing, make a list of the people you will be shopping for and ideas for each alongside their individual budgets. Having this handy while you're shopping is really important if you want to stay on budget and not waste time. Not only will you know what to look for, but you'll know what stores to go to and how much to expect to pay.

2. Focus
Okay everyone, this is the hardest thing about Holiday shopping: SHOPPING! There are sales all around, those sparkly, holiday heels! Here's  the trick, in your plan and budget, add an amount which is for yourself. Get yourself a Holiday Gift! A little something for yourself, this will help avoid the urge to do a full shopping spree for yourself, and keep you happy while you shop.

3. Online Shop
Image result for pink christmasIf you're not a shopper, hate buying gifts, busy malls, etc. Just don't do it! The holidays and the weeks before are very hectic and overwhelming, please don't put yourself through this if you know you'll hate every second of it. The world of online shopping is amazing. Most of the time you can return to stores, get express shipping, and even better deals can be found online than in store! So if the busy mall isn't your cup of tea, then get cozy and shop for your loved ones from the comfort of your bed.

4. Early bird Pays it Off
My biggest and last tip for your holiday shopping tips is my favorite! Shopping by the end of November and being able to pay off the bills before the Holidays is key! When you're giving gifts, sipping on that hot chocolate or some eggnog, and keeping warm by the fireplace, it feels so much better if you aren't worried about the bills piling up! Pay them before the holidays and it will make the season so much more enjoyable! The best way to do this is to finish your holiday shopping one month before. This gives you time to pay your bills without putting you under too much pressure. Now your bills are paid and you can enjoy your sisters face when she sees that ridiculously over-priced sweater!

Furniture shopping

 Hey gems,  I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as summer is approaching! We have been busy trying to pick out all the furniture for the new place. It has been quite a wild journey to get here so I thought I would take some time to review everything that has been going on! Firstly, my favourite store by far is Structube , it is my favourite place and has such a great variety of items but way less overwhelming then a big store like Ikea.  The first thing we picked is our dining table and chairs. The chairs are warm brown leather and the table has a fake live edge that I LOVE! This was the easiest item to choose by far! This is all in a warm theme and tones that will go well with the dark floors and cabinets. We also have been very budget conscious in the whole process and the table was a great price for a larger size so this was a no-brainer.  The next main items I picked out are decor because I had some very specific ideas like a gallery wall and big mirrors! She's a wife!

Hi gems, after soooo much time away from the blog I am back with a life update! I have now been married for a month and had the most incredible honeymoon! We are just getting back home and resetting into a routine. The switch back to reality isn't an easy one but we are still on cloud nine from the events of the summer so that certainly helps! So with that said I think we are well overdo on a life update! Your girl is welcoming fall after a month in Europe and an incredible summer! Not only did my bestfriends get married in the most magical day, but we got to have a summer filled with so many celebrations. Summer 2024 will go down in the history books for sure as a summer of love. I also had another major life change earlier in the summer, I changed job! After five years at an agency, with the people I loved and who taught me so much. I got an opportunity at a company that is HUGE and rated a top company to work for. The job itself and benefits made it a deal I could not turn down....
